The openings in the mass are positioned to face the view of the Bay of Bafra. The building consists of two masses that are separated from each other in terms of mass and function. In order to create shade areas, retreats were made in the mass, the air circulation of these retreats was supported by an external pool and a sustainable air conditioning was aimed.
The inner courtyard and pool created on the sea-facing façade of the building will also have positive effects on the building in terms of sustainability. The air that enters by contacting the pool surface through the openings on the facade facing the staircase is designed to exit through the gap in the roof after being heated inside.
The light-colored and high-thermal mass stone material, randomly panelized and intended to add movement to the façade of the building, will also contribute positively to the air conditioning of the building. In this way, aesthetic and sustainability concerns were resolved in a single solution.
